How to Play Rummy

Objective of the Game
The goal in Rummy is to arrange all 13 cards in your hand into valid sequences and sets, and make a valid declaration before your opponents.
A valid declaration requires at least 2 sequences, one of which must be a pure sequence (without joker).
Card Distribution
Deck Setup
- •2 standard decks of 52 cards each are used
- •4 printed jokers are included
- •Total 108 cards in play
- •Cards are shuffled and dealt randomly
Dealing Cards
- •Each player receives 13 cards
- •One card is placed face-up as wild joker
- •Remaining cards form the closed deck
- •First discarded card starts the open deck
Sequences
A sequence is a group of three or more consecutive cards of the same suit.
Pure Sequence (Required)
Consecutive cards of the same suit without any joker. At least one pure sequence is mandatory for a valid declaration.
Examples:
Impure Sequence
Consecutive cards of the same suit with one or more jokersreplacing missing cards.

A set is a group of three or four cards of the same rank but different suits.

Note: A set cannot have two cards of the same suit.
Joker Rules
Printed Joker
The joker cards that come with the deck. They can substitute any card to form impure sequences or sets.
Wild Joker
At the start of each game, a random card is selected as the wild joker. All cards of that rank become jokers.
Example: If 5♥ is selected, all 5s (5♥, 5♦, 5♠, 5♣) become wild jokers.
Valid Declaration
Requirements for Valid Declaration:
- 1All 13 cards must be arranged in valid sequences and/or sets
- 2At least 2 sequences are required
- 3At least 1 sequence must be a pure sequence (no joker)
- 4Remaining cards can be in sequences or sets

How to Win
- • Arrange all cards in valid groups
- • Click the “Declare” button
- • If declaration is valid, you win with 0 points
- • Other players get points based on ungrouped cards
Point Values
- • Numbered cards (2-10): Face value
- • Face cards (J, Q, K): 10 points each
- • Ace: 10 points
- • Jokers: 0 points
- • Maximum points: 80
